EXUDATE CONTROL POWDER
ABSTRACT
The invention pertains to a wound healing composition comprising a powder mixture of an alginate, magnesium sulphate, and an aloe-vera extract as main components and a pH regulator, with a pH in the range of 5.0 to 7.0. The composition may also include a hydrolysed collagen powder and/or edible oil powder as additives and optionally trace amounts of vitamins and minerals. The composition can be used in the treatment of skin injuries, such as in topical wounds, burns, and surgical sites. The composition can be applied to the skin injury in three ways depending on the exudate level. It is a uni-dose that ca be applied pure when there is heavy exudate or when wound is hemorrhagic. By light exudate, we can prepare the powder diluted with the ratio of 1:10 dilution using a poofer bottle or is otherwise blown into difficult to reach wound sites, or applied over the entire wound surface considering to apply in excess beyond the periwound for prevention to the and closed covered and fixed with a pressure dressing.
